About
Hello! I’m Caitlin Hanypsiak, an undergraduate at Louisiana State University pursuing degrees in Anthropology and Biological Sciences. My research spans multiple disciplines, including a forensic osteology project on diabetes and skeletal remains, a study of learning patterns and academic resource use among undergraduates, and assistance with research on orthopedic surgical techniques. Although these projects address different questions, they share a common thread: an interest in understanding the biological, social, and environmental factors that shape human experiences.
During my time as an undergraduate, I have worked as a certified nursing assistant, studied abroad, served as a laboratory assistant, and shadowed physicians and other experts across a range of specialties. These experiences have exposed me to perspectives that extend beyond the classroom and laboratory, allowing me to better understand how culture, background, and circumstance influence health, behavior, and access to care. That insight shaped my passion for whole-person care that respects every part of a person’s identity in medicine, forensic science, and education.
On this site, you can find my contact information, my CV, my research, and other projects. Thank you for visiting.
